Paul Georg Holsby was born in Norrtälje on 1st September 1921. He was a Swedish artist and designer.

Holsby studied under the French sculptor, painter, teacher and writer André Lhote in Paris (1948-1951) and took study trips to Switzerland, France, Holland, Belgium, Sicily, Martinique (1950), Spain, Portugal, Canary Islands and French West Africa (1952).

Holsby first exhibited at the Spring Exhibition (vårutställningen) at the Vikingsberg, Helsingborg (1947). Other exhibitions include Hälsingborg and Gothenburg (1949); Stockholm and Örebro (1950); Hälsingborg and Umeå (1951); a touring exhibition (Amsterdam, Helsinki, Copenhagen) in 1951; 'ASPECT-61', Liljevalchs Konsthall, Stockholm (1961), Lund (1968); Spring Exhibition, Liljevalchs Konsthall, Stockholm (1969) and then consistently throughout Sweden until 2003

Examples of his works are held in the collections of National Museum, Stockholm; Kalmar Art Museum, Norrbotten Museum, Eskilstuna Art Museum and Institut Tessin, Paris.

Paul Holsby died in Helsingborg on 15th December 2007, aged 86.
