Nils Anton Georg Ragnar Asp was born in Stockholm on 18th October 1916. He was a Swedish artist

Asp attended the Technical School (Tekniska Skolan), Stockholm (1933-1939) and with the Swedish artists Edvin Ollers (1888-1959) and Edward Berggren (1878-1961) for a year in 1935. Study trips included Denmark, Norway, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.

Asp exhibited at the annual 'Unga Tecknare' salon, Stockholm (1942, 1943 and 1946) as well as group exhibitions in Helsingborg, Höganäs and Uddevalla.

Examples of Nils Asp's works are held in the collection of Moderna Museet, Stockholm; the Art Gallery at the Bohuslän Museum and King Gustav VI Adolf's collection

Nils Asp died in Stockholm on 22nd August 1987, aged 70.
