Karl Nordlund 1916-2003

Karl Gustav Nordlund was born in Halla, Gotland County on 15th December 1916. He was a Swedish painter.

Norlund attended Isaac Grünewald's School of Painting (1943-44), Stockholm and then continued his studies in Italy and Switzerland (1947-1948) and Norway (1951).

Norlund exhibited at the Färg och Form gallery, Stockholm (1954); Ljusdal (1955); Borås (1957) with Lennart Forsberg; Ljungby (1958) and in Uppsala (1960). Group exhibitions include the Stockholmssalongen (Stockholm Salon) held at Liljevalchs Konsthall (1958), Stockholm.

Examples of Nordlund’s works are held in the collections of Modern Museet, Stockholm.

Karl Norlund died in Kumla, Örebro County on 14th June 2003, aged 87.
