This impromptu sketch brings to life the theatrical manner in which many of the wealthy middle class of the 1930's behaved; often dressing up for private soirees. It is reminiscent of both the flapper era and a comic caricature of the 19th Century gentleman that was copied wildly in the early 1930's.
