Gösta Berg was born in Jönköping on 8th February 1938. He is a Swedish artist, designer and teacher.
Berg attended Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design), Stockholm (1953-1959). Berg then trained as a furniture designer with G.A. Berg in Uppsala and worked as a primary and secondary school teacher (from 1960).
Berg's furniture designs include the (1971) Måsen (Seagull) easy chair and stool, produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark
Gösta Berg currently lives in Örebro.
