Additional Information
Adrian van Arkel was born in Leiden, The Netherlands, in 1924. He moved to Sweden in 1953. He was a Dutch / Swedish painter and printmaker.
Van Arkel studied at the Royal Academy of Art (Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten, KABK) in The Hague, the Académie Frochot, Paris and the Royal Institute of Art (Kungliga Konsthögskolan) in Stockholm - under Bror Hjort (1894-1968) and Lennart Rodhe (1916-2005)
He travelled to Greece, France, Spain and Mexico
Examples of his work are held in the collection of Stockholm County Council.
Adrian van Arkel died in 2006, aged 82.
