Carl Einar Borgström was born in Ystad on 13th May 1914. He was a Swedish artist and sculptor.
Borgström attended Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design), Stockholm and the Konstakademien (Academy of Fine Arts), Stockholm where he studied Sculpture.
Borgström participated in the Autumn Salons (Höstsalongerna), Goteborg (1938) and Stockholm (1939-1941), and had solo exhibitions at Galerie Moderne, Stockholm (1946) and Louis Hahne's Art Salon (Louis Hahnes konstsalong), Stockholm (1948). Other exhibitions include Ystad (in collaboration with Ystad Metall) and Södertälje. He also worked in conjunction with Björkhult's glassworks in Småland, which manufactured drinking glasses and vases that he designed.
Examples of his work are held in the collections of Ystad Art Museum, Eskilstuna Museum and Västerås Museum.
Carl Einar Borgström died in Stockholm on 6th March 1981, aged 66.
