Pär Sigurd Siegård was born in Helsingborg on 28th December 1887. He was a Swedish painter and designer.

Siegård attended Helsingborg's Technical School (Hälsingborgs Tekniska Yrkesskola) from 1902 to 1907. In 1908 he attended the Althins Painting School (Althins Målarskola) in Stockholm and the Valand's Painting School (Valands Målarskola) in Gothenburg - where he studied under the Swedish painter and photographer Carl Wilhelmsson (1866-1928) - later that year. In 1928, Siegård attended a three-month course at the Académie de la Grande Chaumiere, Paris.

Siegård left Sweden in 1911 and travelled to Germany, Switzerland, France, Algeria, Egypt, Palestine, Greece, Turkey, Austria and Italy. He arrived in Paris in 1913 but left at the outbreak of WW1.

Siegård first exhibited, with Albert Abbe (1889-1966), at the Helsingborg Art Hall (Helsingborgs Konsthall) in 1916'

Siegård returned to Paris in 1921 and it was here that he became a member of the Swedish artist's group 'De Tolv' (The Twelve) - Several members of the group were in Paris at the time studying under the French sculptor, painter, teacher and writer André Lhote (1885-1962). 'De Tolv’ contributed to the modernist breakthrough in southern Sweden between 1924 and 1934.

Siegård participated in the group's exhibitions at Malmö Museum, Vikingsberg Art Museum, the Free Exhibition Building (Den Frie Udstillings) in Copenhagen (1930) and the Royal Academy (Konstakademien), Stockholm (1933). The other members of 'De Tolv' were Albert Abbe, Svante Bergh, Tora Vega Holmström, Johan Johansson, Emil Johanson-Thor, Ivar Johnsson, Anders Jönsson, Nils Möllerberg, Emil Olsson, Jules Schyl and ,Jürgen Wrangel. Siegård exhibited extensively throughout his career. Most notably the Annual Autumn Art Exhibition (Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling), Copenhagen (1921 and 1924), the Swedish Art Society's exhibition at Liljevalch's Art Hall (Liljevalchs Konsthall), Stockholm (1939), 'Skanska Målare' (Skåne Painters) at Göteborgs Konsthall (1940 and 1943), Malmö Museum (1942, 1947 and 1958), Gothenburg Art Museum (1943) 'Skånekonstnärer' (Skåne Artists) at Liljevalchs Konsthall (1951), SDS-Hallen, Malmö (1959) and graphic exhibitions arranged by the Graphic Society and the Association for Graphic Art.

He had a retrospective at the Skåne Art Museum in Lund just before his 50th birthday in 1937 and a memorial exhibition at Kristianstad Museum and Landskrona Museum in 1961 and Ängelholm Art Association in 1962.

He was awarded the Sydsvenskan newspaper's Cultural Prize (Sydsvenska Dagbladets Kulturpris) in 1958 and the Helsingborg Cultural Scholarship in 1959.

Examples of Siegård’s work are held in the collections of the Moderna Museet (Museum of Modern Art) and Nationalmuseum (National Museum) in Stockholm, the Malmö and Gothenburg Museums, Lund University Art Museum, Ystad Art Museum, Nasjonal Museet, Oslo, Turku Art Museum, Finland and the Tallinn City Museum, Estonia

Pär Siegård died in Ängelholm on 13th March 1961, aged 73.
