Curt Vilhelm Burström was born in Stockholm on 24th June 1920. He was a Swedish artist and graphic designer.

Burström studied at the Konstakademien (Royal Academy of Fine Arts) design school in Stockholm (1948-1949) under the Swedish painter Harald Sallberg (1895-1963)

Burström exhibited annually with 'Unga tecknare' (Young Designers) at the National Museum (1947-49 and 1951) and had a solo exhibition at Ekströms Konstsalong (Ekström’s art salon) in Stockholm in 1950, Galerie Artek in Helsinki (1959). Group exhibitions include 'De Unga' (The Young) in Stockholm (1961) and 'Junge Kunst' (Young Art) in Fulda, Germany (1962)

Burström married Hilda Sofia Andersson in 1946.

Examples of Burström works are held in the collections of Moderna Museet (Museum of Modern Art) and Nationalmuseum (National Museum) in Stockholm and the Norrköpings Konstmuseum (Norrköping Art Museum).

Curt Burström died in Stockholm on 27th December 1964, aged 44.
