Ingrid Magdalena Atterberg Göransson was born in Härnösand on 11th May 1920. She was a Swedish ceramicist.

Atterberg studied at Slöjdföreningens skola (The School of Design and Crafts) in Gothenburg and was employed by the glass and ceramics manufacturer Upsala Ekeby Ltd (est.1886) between 1944 and 1963 where she became one of their most influential designers.

During her time at Upsala Ekeby, Atterberg also worked at Karlskrona and Gefle Porcelain Factories as well as Mancioli Natales in Tuscany (1952-64) and Alsterfors Glassworks (1958-63). In 1969, Atterberg set up her own studio in Upsala.

Ingrid Atterberg died in Uppsala on 27th March 2008, aged 87.
