Bo Vive Sällström was born on 28th March 1932 in Gothenburg. He was a Swedish painter and designer.

Sällström attended the Slöjdföreningens Skola (Handicraft Society School) in Gothenburg (1950-54) where he studied under Nils Wedel (1897-1967) and the Valand School of Art (Valands Konstskola) between 1954-55. Sällström then assisted the Swedish painter, sculptor and printmaker Torsten Renqvist (1924-2007), while he was director of the Valand School in Gothenburg until 1958.

Sällström took study trips to Italy, France, Holland, Belgium, England and Ireland. Exhibitions include the prestigious Galleri Gummesons (Gummesons Gallery) in Stockholm (1964) and Galerie Maneten, Gothenburg (1965)

Examples of Sällström works are held in the collections of the National Museum (Nationalmuseum) in Stockholm and the Gothenburg Museum of Art (Göteborgs Konstmuseum).

Bo Sällström died on 22nd January 1999, aged 66.
