    Additional Information

These cafè drawings by John Duncan Fergusson are from his early years in Paris when he frequented the bars and cafes near his studio. Favourite haunts were the Dome, Bal Bullier, Cafe D'Harcourt, Closerie des Lilas and the L'Avenue. `...the girl frequenters were chiefly employed by dressmakers and milliners and wore the things they were working at...' Related cafe drawings are contained in the publication arranged by Jean Geddes and published by Blaikie.
