Elsie Landström-Qvarnström (b.1931

Elsie Landström was born in 1931 in Odensala, Sweden

Following a meeting with the artist Carl Kylberg (1878-1952) in 1950, she was awarded a scholarship by Signe Barth (1895-1982) to study at her painting school on Bellmansgatan, Stockholm.

Landström first exhibited at Stockholm's National Museum's Young artist's exhibition in 1951 followed by her first solo exhibition at Kalmar County Museum in 1953 and Gallery St. Nicholas in Stockholm in 1955. She married Emanuel Qvarnström in 1970

From an early age Elsie Landström life has been effected by a neuromuscular disease.

Most recently, in 2007, Landström exhibited an exhibition of her drawings at the Galleri Englanejd, Stockholm.
