Hans Osswald 1919-1983
Hans August Osswald (originally Andersson) was born on 29th August 1919 in Örebro. He was a Swedish painter and book illustrator.
Osswald first exhibited at Louis Hahnes Konsthandel, Stockholm in 1947. Other exhibitions include Örebro (1951), Kalmar (1952), Dalarnas Art Association in Falun; ABF, Ludvika (1951) and a 'Graphic and SculptureĀ (Grafik och Skulpturs) travelling exhibition in 1953.
Examples of his work can be seen at the National Museum in Stockholm, Malmö Museum, Eskilstuna museum and The Brooklyn Museum, New York.
Osswald died in Malmö in 1983, aged 64
