Lars Englund b.1933
Lars Englund was born on 6th May 1933 in Stockholm. He is a Swedish sculptor and painter.
Englund studied art for a year in 1950 under the Danish painter, writer and art theorist Vilhelm Bjerke-Petersen (1909-1957), before attending the Fernand Léger painting academy in Paris in 1952.
His first solo exhibition was at Stockholm's Lilla Paviljongen (Little Pavillion) in 1953 and he has exhibited extensively ever since. Englund's works have been exhibited worldwide and he has represented Sweden at several Biennials and International Exhibitions.
