Karl Bertil Nilsson 1927-2011

Karl Bertil Nilsson was born in Helsingborg on 17th May 1927. He was a Swedish artist, designer and teacher.

Nilsson attended Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design), Stockholm (1946-1950) and trained as a drawing teacher. He travelled to Paris (1949), Germany and Italy (1952), Spain (1954) and Rome (1956)

Solo exhibitions include Östersund (1955 and 1960) and Lycksele (1956) and he participated in several Art Association exhibitions (Jämtlands and Hälsingborgs) and exhibited at Stockholm's National Museum's annual 'Unga Tecknare' exhibition in 1953. He was also a member of the Norwegian Artists' Association

Karl Bertil Nilsson died in Lund on 7th July 2011, aged 84.
