Pehr Olof Ek 1919-1999

Pehr Olof Ek was born on 22nd May 1919 in Nyköping. He was a Swedish drawing teacher, painter and illustrator.

Ek attended the Higher Art and Industrial School (Högre Konstindustriella Skolan), Stockholm (1942-1945). In 1945 the school was re-organised as Konstfackskolan (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design). Ek took study trips to England, France and Spain.

Ek exhibited at Galerie Aesthetica, Stockholm and participated in the National Museum's annual 'Unga Tecknare' salon in Stockholm

In 1950 Ek married Jeanne Jacquin

Pehr Olof Ek died in Paris in 1999, aged 79
