Niels Holmer Trier 1916-1999

Niels Holmer Trier was born in Vallekilde on 14th April 1916. He was a Danish painter and ceramicist

Trier attended the Kunstakademiets (Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts) in Copenhagen (1936-40) where he studied under Kræsten Iversen (1886-1955) and Aksel Jørgensen (1883-1957). Tier then spent two years with the Danish painter Elof Christian Risebye (1892-1961)

Trier exhibited at the Easter Exhibition (Påskeudstillingen) in Aarhus in 1937 and the Charlottenborg's Spring Exhibition (Charlottenborgs Forårsudstilling) in 1946. He exhibited annually (from 1939) at the Artists' Autumn Exhibition (Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling) in Copenhagen.

Niels Holmer Trier died in Vallekilde on 14th April 1999, aged 83.
