Wilhelm Lindvall 1924-2005

Wilhelm Lindvall was born in Norrköping 1924. He was a Swedish painter.

A self-taught artist, Lindvall participated in the annual ‘Young Artist’ (Unga Tecknare) exhibition at the National Museum in Stockholm in 1957, 1958 and 1959. Lindvall also exhibited at the Stockholm Salons (Stockholmssalongerna) at Liljevalchs Konsthall - an art gallery located on the Djurgården island in Stockholm - and the the Östergötland Art Society (Östgöta Konstförenings) exhibitions during the 1950s and 60s.

A retospective exhibition was held for Lindvall at Galleri Kronan, Norrköping in 2002 and his works were included in a group exhibition held at Konstforum, Norrköping in 2006.

Examples of Lindvall’s work are held in the collections of the National Museum in Stockholm, Norrköping Art Museum and the Linkoping and Östergötland County museums.

William Lindvall died in January 2005, aged 80.
