Inga Sjöholm 1921-2001

Inga Maria Sjöholm was born in Lund, southern Sweden on 19th December 1921. She was a Swedish painter and designer.

SjöholmÂ’s parents, Per Henje and Clara Ingeborg (nee Lindelöf) were school teachers. In 1944 she married Sten Sjöholm.

Although Sjöholm did not attend art college, she did travel to Milan and Paris just before the outbreak of the Second World War - Returning to Sweden in 1939. In 1947 she worked briefly in New York.

Sjöholm exhibited at the Hälsingborgs Art Association Spring Exhibition (Hälsingborgs Konstförenings Vårutställning) at the Vikingsbergs Art Museum (1964) and at the 'Kulla-konst' exhibition in Höganäs (1964).

Inga Sjöholm died in Sweden in 2001, aged 79.
